Try reading a book that was written by a great leader from history. Improving leadership skills make take some trial and error. Different people on your team may respond differently. It may take a few approaches to find what works between you and your team members. With a little hard work you could improve the relationship between you and your staff.
When the employees are happy, this can directly affect how they treat the customers and improve customer service. Offering good customer service can greatly improve the success of any business. Without great customer service it's easy to lose clients to competitors.
Communication skills can always be improved. Communication is not only conveying your message but being a good listener and really understanding the person you are communicating with. Good managers are good listeners.
